ASICs High Integration

Achieved with none other than Yokogawa ASICs (application specific integrated circuits or custom ICs).  ASICs increase integration while reducing power consumption, suppressing heat emissions, and increasing the lifespan of components.

High-Voltage Solid-State Scanner

For scanners that switch the input signal, Yokogawa's proprietary high withstand voltage, low leakage current MOS FETs and high voltage output photo couplers have been combined into a high withstand voltage semiconductor relay offering high speed (6 points per second) scanning, longer scanner life, and noiseless operation.

Lightweight

  • The latest molding techniques have been employed to decrease the number of parts by approximately 30% (compared to our previous 4-pen) or 20% (compared to our dot model).

  • Through the use of ASICs & new servo unit, we have achieved high efficiencies and low heat emissions in all of the 1-, 2-, 3, and 4-pen and 6-dot models while simultaneously limiting the weight to approximately 2.5 kg (6-dot model), and approximately 2.4 kg (4- pen model).

Header Printout (Option, /BT1)

Manufacturing process information such as batch/lot number and comments can be printed out in synchronization with analog recording.

Example Printout (Pen Model)

High Resolution Charts

*With the µR series, computed value can be included.

Notes:

  • Bach name = batch number (characters)- lot number (4 or 6 digit number)
    Example)
    Batch number - 000001
batch number   lot number (you can automatically increment by 1 when recording stops.)
  • Start printout/End printout: Printout operates like manual printout (stopped during analog recording).
  • Message printout: During analog recording, you can print out messages that include measured* values.
(Measured* values, message strings, and date/time can be set arbitrarily.)

Basic operation

  • When you start recording, the Start printout is performed.
  • When you stop recording, the End printout is performed.
  • During analog recording, you can print out messages that include measured* values.

This basic operation pattern is shown in the figure below.

Yokogawa's Network Solution Group presents a video tutorial on configuring DAQLogger with Gate MR and a uR20000 Paper Recorder. This tutorial goes through a basic configuration of a uR20000 as used in a Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) Title V Air Quality application. It includes totalizing flow in SCF (from SCFM) and averaging temperature in 3 hour segments. The tutorial then goes through making a connection with Gate MR, importing tags and groups into DAQLogger and using DAQLogger to trend and record data.
