A team from Yokogawa UK Ltd volunteered their time to provide support in maintaining facilities at the Peace Centre in Warrington.
The Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace is a charity that works nationally and internationally to promote peace and non-violent conflict resolution. It was founded by the parents of 12-year old Tim Parry and supported by the parents of 3-year old Johnathan Ball who were tragically killed as a direct result of the IRA’s bombing of Warrington in March 1993.
The team from Yokogawa UK’s head office in Runcorn were tasked with painting a large room and the ground floor toilet blocks, and they also lent a hand gardening to improve the exterior facilities.
Catherine Taylor, Payroll and HR Admin Officer for Yokogawa, who organised the event said: “The work undertaken at the Peace Centre supports many vulnerable young people and adults affected by violence, and it was great to get the team involved to make a difference in our community.”
Steven Hands from the Foundation for Peace said: “I personally thank all of your team for their efforts today; I really appreciate it. It has been a great help to us to enable the Foundation to keep the building and facilities up to date.
“It is due to the efforts of people like yourselves who help us to continue to function and provide the services to the communities we help and support.”
