The present SENCOM can be exchanged in the field and the calibration data travels with the sensor. How is this different with the SA11?

Calibration data will be stored in the ID chip implemented in the variopin connector of sensors upon calibration in the lab. Upon connection of the sensors to the SENCOM Smart Module in the field, the data form sensor will be uploaded in to the SA11 module creating a plug and play solution for the end-user.
It is not necessary to use same SA11 for calibration purpose.
