Future Co-creation Supporters & Partners
The Future Co-creation Initiative embraces internal collaborators from the Yokogawa Group, known as “Future Co-creation Supporters,” and external collaborators, known as “Future Co-creation Partners.” Team collaborators use scenario planning as a common form of communication to promote dialogue and co-creation while building a mutual network based on shared future scenarios and aspirations. The number of Future Co-creation Partners has already exceeded 100 corporations and continues to rise.
One illustrative activity is the Green Phoenix Project (GPP), a collaboration with Waseda University’s Governance & Sustainability Research Institute. The two entities created an industry-government-academia learning community, uniting executives from over 30 corporations. GPP is an open forum for exploring common social and management issues such as sustainability, digital transformation, and well-being through regular workshops. The Future Co-creation Initiative additionally reaches out for productive interactions with diverse like-minded communities, engaging in activities such as the “4Revs” (4 Revolutions), a global co-creative ecosystem in which young people across the globe seek solutions to the social issues facing humankind. Future Co-creation Supporters, meanwhile, develop future scenarios for business divisions and promote open innovation through collaboration with Co-creation Partners, transcending departmental boundaries to combine differing expertise and skills through activities such as establishing co-creative “workcation” programs.
These activities have enabled us to share and compare future scenarios and visions with other companies and co-create next-generation leadership developmental programs for academic institutions and Gen Z. They represent rare examples of change in Japanese companies and garner high praise in many spheres. As we advance, the Yokogawa Group will continue to promote exploratory co-creative projects internally and in collaboration with other companies and institutions.
