Kyushu Mitsui Aluminium uses the UPM100 Power Monitor for its overall factory operations, and the DX1000 Paperless Recorder for its high-purity aluminum refining furnaces.
The paperless recorder DX series automatically calculate the Fo value from the heating temperature and are useful in managing the sterilization process by displaying and recording the value together with the heating temperature.
The control of the world's water resource is arguably one of the most important issues. Water demand from industry and domestic users is set to rise throughout the industrialized world. Yokogawa has been applying minimized maintenance measurement systems.
The paperless recorder DX series instruments allow you to determine temperature and humidity, and manage the results as manufacturing and quality data at a reasonable cost with a simple configuration.
One important risk to manage with regard to coal stacks is preventing fires due to spontaneous combustion.
A Wisconsin-based dairy operation specializing in low acid, aseptic packaging has invested close to $100 million in new installations over the past few years. This dairy produces brand name nutritional drinks, pudding, cheese sauce and chili mix for many fast food restaurants.
A leading manufacturer of high shear fluid processors was looking for a solution to provide secure, stable pressure readings. The speed of the process typically demands a very fast data-logger with enough intelligence to filter out noise while providing accurate results.
A major power company in the Southeast decided to replace its hydrogen gas detection system. The current system was unsupported by the manufacturer and failing. The new system would need to duplicate the functionality of the old to minimize the training and impact on the operators. Yokogawa was asked to facilitate the project.
MEGTEC Systems, a major manufacturer of Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers in DePere, Wisconsin is now specifying DAQSTATION for use with their equipment. These oxidizers, commonly known as RTOs, are found in Paint Finishing Operations, Chemical, Petro-chemical and Ethanol Production, Ink Coating and Odor Abatement, and many other applications on a global basis.
The basic principles of canning have not changed dramatically since Nicholas Appert and Peter Durand developed the process in the 18th century. Heat sufficient to destroy microorganisms is applied to foods packed into sealed, or "airtight" containers. The canned foods are then heated under steam pressure at temperatures of 240-250°F (116-121°C).
Thermal oxidizers, also known as fume incinerators or afterburners, are widely used to control air emissions. Many processes, such as paint baking, drying of printing inks and curing of certain polymers, evolve vapors of flammable, toxic solvents. In the baking or curing oven, these solvent vapors pose an explosion or fire hazard, so they are diluted well below their lower limit of flammability by adding large amounts of dilution air.
This document describes the operation and data flow of the Yokogawa Print Wave software using the DX-P Reporter. It will provide a detailed explanation of the Advanced Alarm Reporter functions. The functions described in this paper were first released in Print Wave version 5.5.
Yokogawa Electric Corporation, one of the leading manufacturers of industrial recorders, put the DAQSTATION DX series stations on the market in 1999, which added information processing and transmission functions to conventional recorders.
Yokogawa Electric Corporation released the μR and VR series of industrial recorders to meet user demands for monitoring and recording field data. Since then, the recorders have been in wide use in a variety of industries.
As groups of sensors in the field became intelligent and capable of handling not only simple data, but also so-called "information" with added values such as error detection and statistical analysis, recorders became required to play a role in transmitting such information.
Yokogawa's industrial recorders have been widely used in order to monitor and record data acquired from the field. Concurrently, sensors in the field have been made increasingly intelligent and come to hold not just "data" but "information" of additional value provided by such functions as failure detection and statistical analysis.
