NFκB
NFκB, one of the transcription factors of DNA, is a gene transcription factor mainly related to inflammation and immunity. In its regular state, it binds with IκB and is localized in cytoplasm. However, when signals are relayed from cellular membrane surface receptors due to the stimulation by cytokine etc., IκB degradation occurs, NFκB nuclear localization signals are exposed, and NFκB migrates to the nucleus, facilitating gene transcription related to induced inflammation etc. In this tutorial, intranuclear and intracytoplasmic NFκB will be measured and their ratios calculated, and a dose-response curve will be created.
