- Check the power supply wiring.
- Check whether the power supply voltage meets the specifications.
- Check the polarity of the input wiring.
- Check the pulse specifications of the other instrument.
- For voltage pulse, open collector, and non-voltage contact, check whether there is an external resistance connected to the input terminals.
- For current pulse, check whether the accessory resistor is connected to the input terminals. (some models may have built-in resistance, so be sure to check the specifications).
- Check the signal from the output terminal while using a clip or other conductor to open and short the (+) and (-) input terminals. For a high range input frequency, manually opening and shorting may result in a low cut, and you may not be able to check. In that case, you will need a pulse generator appropriate for the input frequency.
- If the output signals is of the current specifications, attach an external 250 Ω resistance and measure the voltage.
