Yokogawa Field Instrumentation Instrumentation Portfolio

Yokogawa field instrumentation includes a complete line of flowmeters, pressure transmitters, differential pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, level transmitters, Fieldbus instruments and safety measurement instrumentation. Within a project, Yokogawa can supply other instruments from third-party providers including seals, manifolds, temperature elements etc.
Process analyzers are on-line tools for industrial process analytics, used to determine the chemical composition or physical properties of substances involved in industrial processes. They enable process optimization, asset protection, and compliance with environmental regulations.
With one of the most comprehensive families of sensors and on-line analyzers for pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, combustion oxygen, humidity, liquid and gas density and process gas chromatography, Yokogawa is recognized as a world leader in the field of analytical equipment. Accurate, repeatable measurement is the key to obtaining optimal results in your process, and Yokogawa's diagnostic-based analytical instrumentation offers the flexibility to meet a range of individual requirements. Whether it is for liquid or gas applications, our analyzers can resolve even the most demanding situations. Yokogawa's leadership in process analytics helps to protect the environment by reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions.

Yokogawa Systems Portfolio

Operators from over 10,000 plants entrust Yokogawa’s DCS technology and solutions to meet their production targets year after year. A distributed control system (DCS) is a platform for automated control and operation of a plant or industrial process. A DCS combines the following into a single automated system: human machine interface (HMI), logic solvers, historian, common database, alarm management, and a common engineering suite. Yokogawa distributed control systems provide the industry’s highest field-proven system availability, enterprise-wide interoperability, extensive advanced solutions portfolio, and third party-certified defense-in-depth cyber security to increase productivity and improve plant operations. Delivering simplified upgrades and backward compatibility by design for over 40 years, Yokogawa exceeds the needs of operators throughout the product lifecycle.

Difference between Process Control Instrument (PCI) Project & Main Instrument Vendor (MIV) Project

The classic definition of main instrument vendor (MIV) is a contract placed with a single instrument expert partner to provide a total solution for a project, including valves. While an MIV Project provides customers a value-added contract, a PCI Project belongs more to a traditional product delivery. The concept of an MIV Project is based on business principles of cost and risk reduction, scheduled savings and improvement on manual, inefficient, traditional project approaches. We strive to provide solutions to challenges faced by our customers and providing the solutions and services that they did not know they required.
Yokogawa has built on the MIV concept to differentiate and augment extra value to all stakeholders involved in a project. Based on our years of experience working on projects, we have evolved this concept in order to meet each of our customers’ needs on an individual level. We keep improving the concept to optimize the process and meet specific project requirements. During the entire process, our customers work with one partner to ensure consistency, leverage purchasing from various suppliers, realign when the project timeline shifts, avoid ambiguities, and provide a total solution for their project.

Added Value Contracts

Yokogawa offers a Main Instrument Vendor (MIV) contract, meaning it can be tailored for a specific project. A main instrument vendor contract can consolidate and regulate potential issues. With our effective and concise instrumentation scope, we align with compressed project schedules and time savings. With Yokogawa as your MIV, we will be your one responsible partner, single point of contact for sales and execution with a single contract instead of multiple as for a traditional project. Furthermore, we provide technology consultants in a primary stage to ensure the best fit solutions for your project. The entire engineering and procurement process are fully managed by the instrumentation vendor, so end-users can save this time to focus on other crucial aspects in the project.
