A history of continuous expansion
Yokogawa traces its history back to 1915, when Dr. Tamisuke Yokogawa, a prominent Japanese architect founded an electric meter resource institute in Shibuya, Tokyo. Over the last 107 years, Yokogawa has remained committed to the founding principles of putting quality first, demonstrating a pioneering spirit, and contributing to society. Yokogawa continues to expand the scope of its business from measurement to control and information solutions, and provide essential core technologies that help boost industrial growth.
Yokogawa’s European operations opened in 1982, when it acquired Electrofact B.V., a Dutch analyzer manufacturer, headquartered in Amersfoort, Netherlands. Amersfoort has since become Yokogawa's European headquarters and a production centre for analytical measurement instruments.
