Wireless Steam Trap Sensor

This product, Wireless Steam Trap Sensor, when combined with the XS110A Wireless Communication Module, operates as a battery-powered wireless device, and it is suitable for Industrial IoT (IIoT) applications. By installing this product on the piping where a steam trap is already installed, it is possible to detect conditions steam trap. Prompt maintenance can be performed, which is expected to reduce the risk of steam system failure and improve energy efficiency.

Intrinsic Safety Certified for Use in Hazardous Locations

This product can be installed in Class 1 hazardous locations in factories and equipment that handle flammable gases, such as petrochemical plants, paint factories, and pharmaceutical factories.

Long-distance Communication on License-free Bands

This product has adopted LoRaWAN®. LoRaWAN® has excellent sensitivity reception, good radio interference resistance, and offers a communication distance of 10 km or more in an ideal communication environment. This device can be installed anywhere you want over vast area.

Modular Structure

The module structure enables replacing the battery without removing the XS822 Steam Trap Monitoring Module from the piping, and it makes smooth maintenance of the device.

Adaptable to Various Types of Steam Traps

This product doesn‘t need to be set the information of the type of targeted steam trap. Therefore, it can detect the condition of already installed steam trap regardless of its type.

Detect the Condition of Steam Trap, Steam Leakage and Steam Trap Cold

This product detects the failure or not of steam traps, not physical value of them, and transfers the results of the conditions to host server automatically. No need to judge the failure on the host server.
*A steam trap is a valve that automatically and properly discharges the condensate generated when the steam cools, and it exhausts only condensate, not steam in a plant.

Benefits of Wireless Steam Trap Sensor

Benefits of Wireless Steam Trap Monitoring Device
Benefits of Wireless Steam Trap Monitoring Device

Online monitoring of steam trap conditions and prompt maintenance can dynamically reduce steam losses and carbon dioxide emissions.

Steam traps are generally inspected once a year by an operator.
However, in this case, steam trap leaks may not be detected until the following inspection, and steam may continue to blow through.
By installing a wireless steam trap sensor and monitoring online, the steam trap leaks can be detected immediately after they occur, allowing countermeasures to be taken promptly.

Rapid replacement of failed steam traps minimizes steam loss, improves energy efficiency, and contributes to lowering steam costs and carbon dioxide emissions.
