Test laboratories require portable, rigorous, continuous monitoring in the design, validation, and service stages of product development, product testing, and manufacturing. The MV series is Yokogawa's battery operated laboratory recorder, with handle and footstands to enable portable and benchtop use.
The MVAdvanced portable paperless recorders are high performance and easy to use test instruments that handle a wide range of measurements in your lab, plant, or test stand. MVAdvanced has powerful stand-alone data logging capability, and it connects easily to your network to bring your test data directly into your PC environment.
Resources
MVAdvanced is used on the test bench for a variety of temperature measurements during product development. The products are judged to have passed the temperature stabilization test for the first time when the measured temperature stays within a determined range and time frame preset by the user.
MVAdvanced can identify faulty headlights on the automobile testing line. It can synchronize to contact signals from a sequencer, and perform measurements one car at a time.
To limit internal temperature increase in optical disk players, MVAdvanced can measure the temperature of the player's ICs and perform critical evaluation during the design stage.
MVAdvanced enables you to evaluate the effect of the cooling fan on the internal temperature of optical disk recorders. To check the effectiveness of the cooling fan control, you can measure temperature rise while taking into account the temperature inside and outside the player, fan rotations, and motor current.
MVAdvanced can measure the motor torque required to feed the paper.
MVAdvanced can monitor the overall current and arriving voltage in railroad substations when trains are in transit. It can also measure current values and monitor voltage fluctuations.
MVAdvanced facilitates periodic inspections and monitoring of abnormalities at manufacturing facilities, and can measure equipment temperature (heating), reaction vessel temperature (fermentation/reaction temperature), PH value, supply flow rate of reactive substances, and other parameters.
MVAdvanced measures power usage in a greenhouse; you can check measured usage against the billed amount.
In motor durability testing, MVAdvanced can measure DC motor current (voltage), sensor output, and other values.
Power generator parameters and weather environment data at wind-farms can be recorded. Remote access allows users to monitor all data for operational status.

Yokogawa's Network Solutions Group is pleased to offer a brief tutorial on basic configuration of the MVAdvanced Mobile Recorder. The configuration is conducted through the built in key pad.
Yokogawa's Network Solutions Group is pleased to present a tutorial on configuring the MVAdvanced mobile recorder to communicate to an MW100 (DAQMaster) as remote I/O via the Modbus protocol. This video will configure the MVAdvanced through the built in key pad interface to read four remote channels from an MW100. The same technique can be used to read in remote data from other devices that support Modbus communications including Yokogawa's PR300 power meter, other MVAdvanced recorders, signal conditioners, or other vendor products.
