In the Life Science field, Yokogawa has supported cutting-edge research for over two decades with its famous CSU confocal scanner unit. It is a de-facto standard for live cell imaging.
CSU is Yokogawa's original technology, and 3000 units have been sold all over the world. The "CSU-W1 SoRa" is their new Life Science product that has just been released. Just like the CSU, high-speed real time imaging can be performed with super-resolution, making CSU-W1 SoRa ideal for super-resolution live cell imaging.
Join us for a Tech Talk - Dec 9 from 3:00-4:00 pm – Theater 2, Learning Center (exhibit hall)
Super Resolution Confocal Scanner Unit CSU-W1 Sora
Presenters: Takuya Azuma: Chief designer of CSU-W1 Sora and Yoshitaka Sekizawa: Product manager of CSU-W1 Sora
Level: Intermediate
Topic: In this talk, we will introduce features and principles of this product and we will show beautiful image samples taken by the CSU-W1 SoRa:
- Spinning disk based super resolution confocal scanner unit
- Ideal for super-resolution live cell imaging. High-speed real time imaging can be performed with super-resolution. In addition, live cell imaging is possible, reducing bleaching and phototoxicity.
- Super-resolution images can be observed in real time without any specific preparation of sample. Deep position observation is made possible through optical sectioning based on confocal technology.
