Non-Dispersive Infrared Gas Analyzers (NDIR)

What Are Non-Dispersive Infrared Gas Analyzers (NDIR)?

Non-Dispersive Infrared Gas Analyzers (NDIR) allow for high sensitivity measurement of a variety of gas components including CO2, CO, CH4, NO, and SO2. Additionally, an O2 measurement can be made with a built-in paramagnetic analyzer or external zirconia analyzer.

  • Infrared Gas Analyzer IR800G, IR810G

The IR800G/IR810G is the ideal gas analyzer for CEMS, meeting a wide range of needs from environmental issues to combustion control. It offers simultaneous measurement of up to 5 components. To meet stricter environmental regulations, it delivers efficient control with stable measurement and low drift.

  • Infrared Gas Analyzer IR202

The model IR202 is capable of measuring concentration of CO2, CO, CH4, SO2, and NO components in process gas by using the non-dispersive infrared method (NDIR), while measuring O2 with the paramagnetic or zirconia method. It also provides high stability over long periods of time.
A maximum of 4 components including O2 (or up to 3 components without O2 measurement) are simultaneously measurable.

What Is the Non-Dispersive Infrared Analyzer Principle?

Gases absorb radiation in specific infrared wavelength ranges. A non-dispersive infrared sensor measures gas molecule concentrations. Infrared light passes through a container of gas toward a non-dispersive infrared detector to determine the concentration based on how much of the filtered light wavelength the gas absorbs.
