The rapid increase in video and other types of image data traffic on the Internet as well as the increased industry demand for communications networks require a significant improvement in telecommunications capacity. For this, Yokogawa has unique solutions based on the ultra-high-speed compound semiconductor technology that the company has been developing since 1983 and on modules and subsystems that utilize optical integration technology and control algorithms. Yokogawa is making use of feedback on user requirements to focus its development of the most advanced products. With the completion of Yokogawa's Sagamihara technology center, comprehensive research and development, design, manufacturing, and sales operations can now be carried out at one location. This enables the company to provide a stable supply of products, thereby contributing to the development of next-generation backbone communication systems, an important part of our society's infrastructure. Yokogawa's photonic network business consists of the production of modules and transponders for 40Gbps optical communications and the development of component technologies required in next-generation telecommunications. We will support our society's infrastructure by providing quality products and services. We welcome any inquiries or requests concerning our technology development activities and products. 40G Transponders![]() Yokogawa's 40G RZ-DQPSK Transponder is a signal transmission unit for use with optical communications equipment. First introduced in 2007, this product has won steady acceptance in the market. Yokogawa is rolling out an ever increasing range of solutions for next-generation backbone transmission systems. Responding to the market growth as well as answering customer needs for small size and low power consumption, Yokogawa has developed a new MSA size compliant global model of its 40G RZ-DQPSK Transponder. It is one fourth the size of our earlier model and retains all of its excellent features, including noise immunity for ultra-long-haul transmissions. Modules![]()
Electronic Modules
Yokogawa provides electronic modules for 10Gbps and 40Gbps systems. These modules use excellent, ultra-fast ICs from our own compound semiconductor fabrication facilities. ![]()
Optical Modules
(full-WDM-band photodiodes) Yokogawa provides full-WDM-band photodiodes that can cover all WDM bands. Modules specifically for the 10Gbps and 40Gbps WDM bands are also available. Subsystem UnitsOptical packet network and optical transmission modules based on cutting edge Yokogawa technologies are integrated in subsystem units that are ideal for the development of next-generation photonics networks.
Optical Packet Subsystem Units
All necessary components are neatly packaged in these subsystem units.
40G Subsystem Units
Yokogawa has optimized 40Gbps modules for use as subsystem units in research and development. Optical Packet Network Systems![]() ![]() Yokogawa is conducting technical presentations of optical packet network systems using technologies that have been developed in-house. Though these systems are still under development and have not yet entered commercial use, please feel free to contact us for a detailed presentation and to discuss their future development. We are looking for partners in this field also.
